Hi, I’m Tanay, the founder and chief pho-dog-grapher at Zoomies!
Growing up, photography was never something I thought I would make a career out of. I discovered my love for it while backpacking through Europe. What started off as a hobby soon turned into a serious passion. I finally decided to take the leap of faith, quit my boring desk job and gave this passion my all.
Why pet photography, you ask?
Well, to begin with, I wasn't always an avid dog lover. For most of my childhood I was scared of them, possibly because they were larger in size than me. But as I grew older, the fear faded away. Today, I can’t even walk past a dog without whistling at or petting them.
Volunteering at a canine shelter run by a friend helped me get experience in handling dogs with varied temperaments, sizes and breeds. I also worked for a prominent pet store brand, interacting with owners, getting first-hand knowledge of the booming pet industry.
Zoomies is a perfect amalgamation of all these experiences- a Pune based studio specializing in, but not limited to Pet Events and Portraiture. Be it birthday celebrations, agility events or fun photo shoots with your furry floofertons- we’ve got you covered.
